Associate Provost for Academic Engagement

The Associate Provost for Academic Engagement supports the University's Strategic Plan and Academic Plan by coordinating efforts around the following key areas:

• Academic Advising
  • Academic advising helps students plan academic progress and achieve their educational goals.
• Career Development Office

  • Career Development provides developmental and comprehensive career directed services to all Xavier students and alumni. We collaborate with campus and community partners to connect, educate, and empower undergraduate and graduate students and alumni with relevant resources and services to achieve meaningful careers over their lifetime.

• Undergraduate Research and Creative Activity

  • Undergraduate Research is a cornerstone of the student experience. The research skills students gain are critical components of their Xavier education and provide a foundation for success in their chosen careers.

• The Take It On initiative
  • Take It On is Xavier’s non-partisan, values-centered initiative to proactively promote better civic discourse and robust, peaceful engagement in politics.
  • Take It On seeks to implement and operate by the Principles of Free Speech and Expression at Xavier University.
• Transformative experiential learning opportunities
• Ignatian vocational discernment

The Associate Provost for Academic Engagement works closely with other members of the Provost area, Student Success, Student Affairs, and others across campus.
