Dr. Haider Raad earned his Ph.D. and M.S. degrees in Systems Engineering, specializing in RF Telecommunication Systems from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, and the M.S. degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from New York Institute of Technology with highest honors. He served as a faculty member in the department of Engineering Science at California State University, Sonoma between 2012 and 2015. He also taught in the department of Systems Engineering at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock between 2008 and 2012.
Dr. Raad is also the editor of the best-selling book “Innovation in Wearable and Flexible Antennas” published by WIT Press, UK, and more recently, has published three books entitled “The Wearable Technology Handbook”, “Telemedicine: Emerging Technologies, Applications, and Impact on Health Care Outcomes”, and “Wearable Electronics: Design and Fabrication Techniques”. He has also published several book chapters, and over 75 peer reviewed journal and conference papers on research fields of his interest which include: Flexible and Wearable Wireless Systems, Telemedicine and Wireless Body Area Networks, Metamaterials, MIMO, and Internet of Things.
Dr. Raad’s favorite thing is spending quality time with his family. In his free time, he enjoys composing world, rock, and smooth jazz music. He also enjoys painting and street photography.
