The Sweet Life: Campus Celebrates Incredible 2023 Postseason Run
Mar 21, 2023
Campus is buzzing with excitement this week as the Xavier Musketeers head into the Sweet 16 round of the 2023 NCAA Tournament.
Dustin Lewis, Senior Associate Director of Student Involvement, said nearly every space on campus has been transformed through multiple events and celebrations in anticipation of Friday night’s game.
“For the current student body, they have not been to the Sweet 16 before and the energy on campus is electric," Lewis said. "The opportunity for students to see the student center decorated top to bottom in handpainted banners, balloon arches and multiple opportunities to save that moment with selfie stations, mascot appearances, and blue-themed sweets in Gallagher and Hoff— the campus is alive and ready for Friday's big dance.”

3-Point Competition

Dining Hall Goes Blue
The James E.Hoff Dining Hall and Victory Perk celebrated with blue ice cream, blue donuts and jersey-shaped Xavier cookies. D’Artagnan and the Blue Blob also made appearances at the dining hall throughout the week for giveaways.
A Campus Transformed
Gallagher Student Center was transformed with a Sweet Sixteen balloon arch, rally posters and memorable Xavier basketball moments playing on screens throughout the day. Other areas of campus celebrated with photo backdrops, props, banners and other signage.
Show Your Shirt Contest
Students who visited the All For One Shop, The James E. Hoff Dining Hall or The Health United Building wearing Xavier apparel were entered into the ‘Show Your Shirt’ contest for prizes, including a Bose speaker, iPad Air and Stanley tumbler.
