What are you most looking forward to in your role as Vice President of Institutional Diversity and Inclusion? "I am looking forward to building upon the diverse, inclusive foundation laid prior to my arrival and expanding the impact of inclusion across the Xavier and Cincinnati community. I am also excited about enhancing our collective sense of belonging as we incorporate “All for One” into the core D&I mission of compassion and unity."
Who or what inspires you in your career? "Impacting change in students and the community serves as my biggest inspiration. Every day, I strive to live the values of inclusive excellence so that all people can navigate life without bias, racism or prejudicial treatment."
What is your favorite thing about working in higher education? "Changing the world one student, one policy or one curricular change at a time. I also really enjoy the sports!"
What are your ties to Cincinnati and the Xavier community? "I am from Ohio originally. I started my college journey at Xavier University and am so excited to rejoin the Xavier and Cincinnati community – from cheering on the basketball team to enjoying OTR, it’s great to be back home in Ohio."
What is your favorite way to spend a day off? "I enjoy baking and spending time with my three boys, our boxer (Willow) and my husband. We love to get outdoors and explore."
