Xavier to receive new Ohio Historical Marker

On Saturday, Nov. 9, a new Ohio Historical Marker will be unveiled outside of Xavier University’s Armory. The ceremony includes a welcome followed by a special 50th anniversary of the Vietnam War pinning and unveiling of the marker by Xavier Alumni who are veterans from the Vietnam and Afghanistan wars.

Donations were made last year by Xavier alumni and friends as part of the Ohio Historical Marker March Gladness Campaign. Xavier University’s Army ROTC All For One Battalion has won the MacArthur Award nine time, twice as the top ROTC program in the nation and seven-time best in the Brigade/Region.

"This marker will serve as a lasting memory for those who have served. To know this comes as part of the nation’s remembrance of the 50thanniversary of the Vietnam War is an additional opportunity to honor the men and women who have served.”
