Dr. Morten Kristiansen
Professor of Musicology
A native of Copenhagen, Morten Kristiansen teaches music history and literature and oversees the general education offerings. He has presented papers at national conferences and published essays on the music of Richard Strauss in its cultural context around 1900. Other interests include German Romantic opera, musical aesthetics, Mozart, and the history of Rock. His professional experience includes a one-year stay in Vienna, Austria, research trips to Munich, Germany, and singing bass in a variety of choirs.
