21 Montessori and Judaism

In this episode, Kate Pinkert shares how Ort Torah, an Orthodox Montessori school combines the philosophy of Montessori with the tenants of Judaism.

Kate Pinckert is thrilled to be a part of the OTC staff as Assistant Head of School and Director of Development. Mrs. Pinckert is a native Cincinnatian who has been in the field of education for more than 20 years. As an undergraduate of Miami University and a graduate of Xavier University, both for a Masters in Montessori Education and School Administration, Mrs. Pinckert was formally an Upper Elementary Montessori teacher and Montessori Principal in the Cincinnati Public Schools. She has been married for 11 years with two beautiful children, a daughter (9 years old) and a son (8 years old). Mrs. Pinckert believes that the depth which we get to know the children, and help them work to be their very best selves, is one of the most wonderful things about the OTC community. She enjoys watching the children accomplish a new task that begins with difficulty, but with continued effort, becomes understood and allows them to prepare for the next challenge.
