015 One parent's perspective and the impact Montessori can have at home

We hear from the parent of two young children attending a Montessori program. He shared the impact om Montessori at home, the value of parent training opportunities, and how a Montessori education can be a benefit for college students.

Dave Johnson is the Associate Provost and Chief Student Affairs Officer at Xavier University.  As the Associate Provost and Chief Student Aaffairs Officer, Dave oversees 14 functional areas and 64 staff members.  Student Affairs supports students' social integration into the University community; our mission is to facilitate and promote leadership development, wellness, identity development, and a commitment to spirituality and social justice.  Dave has his Ph.D. in Higher Education with his research focused on leadership practices and institutional change that promotes student success.  Dave and his wife Megan have two children, Ben (6) and Eva (4), who attend Xavier’s Montessori Lab School.
