Dr. Brent Richardson
Professor, Department of Counseling
Dr. Brent Richardson, Professor, Department of Counseling, is a licensed clinical counselor and a licensed school counselor, holds a doctorate in Counselor Education from the College of William and Mary. He is the author of Working with Challenging Youth: Lessons Learned Along the Way (2001). Dr. Richardson has worked for over 20 years as a counselor, therapist, and administrator with at-risk youth and families in a variety of diverse settings including a treatment foster care agency, an inner city emergency shelter, a rural high school, a family counseling center, a psychiatric hospital, and a residential special education school. For the past several years, he has conducted numerous local, regional, and national workshops related to challenging youth.
