American Founding and Constitution

2024 Constitution Day Colloquium

On September 16 and 17, 2024 Xavier hosted its annual Constitution Day events. The event was kicked off by a Monday evening lecture, "Who's Responsible for Constitutional Rights," by Dr. Christina Bambrick, Flip Family Assistant Professor of Political Science at the University of Notre Dame.  On Tuesday, twenty student Constitution Fellows joined faculty in small group discussions on the Constitution, rights and contemporary issues at the annual Constitution Day Colloquium.  The event was concluded with a panel featuring Dr. Hans Eicholz (Liberty Fund), Dr. Fred Fransen (President, Huntington Jr. College), and Dr. Kathryn Robiadek (Xavier University), discussed "Revisiting the Republic: the Founders, the Constitution and Society Today."
