Lisa Hover

Teaching Professor, ASL
ASL Coordinator, Deaf Studies

Lisa Hover is from Ithaca, New York but has always had relatives in Cincinnati, so she has always felt at home here.  She received her education training from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, and her American Sign Language formal training from Cincinnati State Technical and Community College, where she is also an adjunct professor in the Interpreter Training Program.  Lisa has been involved with the Greater Cincinnati Deaf Community since 2002 and is also a freelance ASL interpreter in medical, post-secondary, business, performance, religious, and general community settings.  The 2 most important people in the world to her are her sons, Joshua & David.  The 3 of them spend their free time exploring parks, playing board games and doing puzzles, and enjoying the weather whenever possible!
