3 hours of Xavier Core Chemistry Credit.
The Credit is given for CHEM102 (Chemistry:Environment and Energy, 2cr) and CHEM103 (Chemistry:Environment and Energy Lab, 1cr).

AP score of 4:
4 hours of Xavier Chemistry Credit.
The Credit is given for CHEM160 (General Chemistry I lecture,3cr), and CHEM161 (General Chemistry Laboratory I, 1cr).

AP score of 5:
8 hours of Xavier Chemistry Credit.
The Credit is given for CHEM160 (General Chemistry I lecture,3cr), CHEM161 (General Chemistry Laboratory I, 1cr), CHEM162 (General Chemistry II lecture, 3cr), and CHEM163 (General Chemistry Laboratory II, 1cr)

International Baccalaureate Program

Xavier grants credit to students who have taken the International Baccalaureate Exams based on the following:

IB Score of 5:
4 hrs credit, CHEM160, CHEM161, General Chemistry I (lecture and lab)

IB Score of 6 or 7:
8 hrs credit, CHEM160, CHEM161, General Chemistry I (lecture and lab) CHEM162, CHEM163, General Chemistry II (lecture and lab)

CLEP (College Level Examination Program)

CLEP score of 50 (C):
6 hours of Xavier Chemistry Credit.
The Credit is given for CHEM160 (General Chemistry I lecture, 3cr) and CHEM162 (General Chemistry II lecture, 3cr). Those taking CHEM161 (General Chemistry Laboratory I) must audit CHEM160. Those taking CHEM163 (General Chemistry Laboratory II) must audit CHEM162
