Capstone achievements on public display

|

Our campus’s spring glory manifests itself not least through the vernal displays, presentations, and performances of our students. Seniors and other students offer to the community the fruits of their labored learning: capstone achievements on public display. Yes, of course we often compel them to do so!

Every year I enjoy as many of these spring rites as I can. This week that included a performance of Beethoven’s Choral Fantasy, in which Xavier’s Chamber Orchestra, the Edgecliff Vocal Ensemble, and other students joined Polina Bespalko on piano for a wonderful concert. Congratulations to all from the Department of Music and Theatre who contributed to its beautiful success.

In the midst of the end-of-semester crush, I hope that you too will find a little time to see, hear, and appreciate what your and others’ students have accomplished—whether through a thesis presentation, a senior recital, or even a competitive game of robot capture-the-flag.
