Favorite thing about Xavier
The kindness, helpfulness, and comradery among the staff, faculty, and students
Favorite thing about Cincy
During the rest of the year, eating a Skyline 5-way, a plate of goetta, and getting the world’s largest chocolate chip in my Graeters ice cream cone after a great day at the Cincinnati Zoo and the Newport Aquarium, and then walking home in the misty rain after stopping for a beer at Dana’s. On Christmas Eve, Bellarmine Chapel Children’s Mass, when it has just started to snow, and the streetlights come on.
Best advice for incoming students
Get involved. There are so many cool, unique ways to join the campus community and make a friend, a difference, or a discovery. Ask questions and be curious. Take time for yourself to relax if you feel overwhelmed, and always reach out with questions or if you need support. Take a walk around the entire campus. Breathe deeply and look around.
