Art at the X-Edgecliff College, XU Art Alumni Exhibition, august 25-September 15, 2023

Xavier University and the Department of Art are pleased to present two exhibitions of art by Edgecliff College and Xavier University Department of Art Alumni and Mini-Vacations by the Watercolor Guild of Loveland, Friday, August 25 – September 15, 2023.

The alumni artwork presented is a variety of mediums: paintings, prints, ceramic sculpture, drawings, digital media, and fibers. Participating art alumni are Rob Anderson, Inez Baird (Simons), Karen Boeddeker, Debbie Davidson, Claire Feist, Natalie Fischer (Suer), Frank Geiser, Kaitlyn Hammons (Zinn), Dawn Hanlin (Taylor), Vince Jagodzinski, Olivia King, Michael Knueven, Susie Mahan, Emily Payne (Vriesman), Terri Schatzman (Menkhaus), Hannah Smith, Bridget Walsh, John Wolfer, Daniel Zalla.

Also on display are watercolor paintings by nineteen local artists in The Watercolor Guild of Loveland, featuring landscapes, florals, animals, and abstracts. The Guild began six years ago with five or so kitchen table painters, ranging from beginner to intermediate students. The group met on Saturday mornings with their instructor Terry Voorhees, B.A. Over the following six years, the kitchen table became a studio, the group became a guild and has grown in numbers as well as expertise.
