Jonathan Gibson

Jonathan Gibson received his BFA in Painting from Brigham Young University in 2004 and his MFA in Painting in 2006 from Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, NY. He joined the Xavier University Department of Art faculty in 2006 and currently teaches 2D Design, Graphic Design and Photography. His research interests include the formation of personal and identity in relation to commercial imagery, ancestry and identity, and the act of seeing itself. He is also interested in innovation, how creativity works, and collaborating with other departments and disciplines. He is a proud father of 3 boys and 1 girl and husband to his wife Monica.
