Working Professional MBA![]() About the Program
Earning a Masters degree in business administration is more than an academic achievement. Its a prerequisite for career advancementthe difference between middle management and executive status. One of the ways in which you can accomplish this is through Xaviers MBA plan for working professionals. By attending classes two nights a week, you can earn an MBA in two to three years. The evening program features flexible scheduling that allows you to work at your own academic pace while taking courses that are compatible with your level of knowledge and experience. Xaviers MBA program is accredited by The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business - (AACSB) The International Association for Management Education. CurriculumThe curriculum of the MBA program for working professionals consists of five components:
These are the basis of an educational experience hallmarked by a high degree of flexibility and responsiveness to the scheduling and developmental needs of students. Courses are offered for two or three credit hours. Three credit hour courses meet for 16 weeks while two credit hour courses meet for seven weeks, thus allowing students the flexibility of completing three classes during the semester, but only attending two nights a week. The total number of credit hours required to complete the MBA program varies from a minimum of 36 hours (all foundation skills waived with a general business concentration) to a maximum of 55 hours (all foundation skills and a 12 credit hour concentration). Download the MBA Requirement Sheet outlining curriculum here. ConcentrationsYou may tailor your electives in the fields of your choice to provide a broader understanding of the business world or to specialize your degree. While nine elective hours are the minimum necessary for program completion, certain concentrations require 12 elective hours, thus increasing the total number of credit hours required for the program. Electives are usually taken near the end of a student's academic program. In addition, anyone with an MBA may return at a later date for a concentration certificate program.
