Faculty Overview

The Off-site MBA programs receive the same respect and national recognition as the on campus MBA program because many of the faculty are the same.  Off-site faculty members consist of a mix of full-time tenured experts from Xavier University and part-time adjunct members who provide valuable hands-on experience to the classroom. International Trip

Midway through their first year, students will have the opportunity to take part in an international trip during their summer break, in place of an elective course held at the end of their second year.

The international trip will include company visits, guest lecturers, and local tours throughout the host country during the summer break which occurs after the first year and before the start of the second year (typically in June.)  The goal of the course is to immerse students in the culture of the host country, to expand the student’s global understanding, and to explore international business opportunities. The summer 2009 trip will be to Lyon, France, home of the Catholic University of Lyon, a Xavier MBA partner school.  Following the trip, students will be required to submit an assignment on their experience for a total of 4 credit hours.

Travel expenses for the international trip option are NOT included in the cost of the program. While all travel arrangements are coordinated by Xavier, Students will be responsible for paying the additional difference between 4 credit hours and the cost of the trip.

Students who do not participate in the international trip will be enrolled in the Advanced Business Focus course conducted at the off-site location and during the end of the second year (typically in May & June following graduation.) Students will earn 4 credit hours in fields such as Investment Management, New Product Planning & Development, or Database Management for example.
