ebrary (Using this resource; all full-text; XLinks; RefWorks help) contains about 32,300 electronic books in business, marketing, economics, computers, information technology, health, biomedical sciences, clinical sciences, engineering, technology, life sciences, physical sciences, education, history, humanities, law, international relations, public policy, social sciences, and behavioral sciences. It includes books in the Vault Career Library. Users can search for words in the subject, title or full-text of books in this collection. Content can be easily copied and pasted into a word processing document. Books in this collection are protected by copyright laws and there are limitations on the number of pages that can be printed and copied. It is compiled by and the user interface is provided by ebrary. Monthly system maintenance is performed the first Tuesday of each month from 8-10pm (Pacific Time) during which ebrary may be unavailable. No reader is required to use these electronic books. EBSCO eBook Collection (covers 1980-2011; all full-text; tutorials; RefWorks help; XLinks) incorporates the former netLibrary electronic book collection with thousands of purchased and public domain titles with a broad coverage of topics. Users can preview an e-book online, read a page in depth, jump to specific page, or use links in the table of contents or index to go to specific chapters or topics of interest. Every word in every e-book is searchable. In addition to keyword, users can search by author, title, subject, category, ISBN, publisher, and/or date of publication. Using the Choose Databases feature, e-books can be searched along with other EBSCO databases that provide primarily journal articles. Table of contents can be previewed at the search results display without checking out or opening the e-book. Once the e-book is opened users can search within the book, consult a dictionary, zoom text, ans expand the viewing window. To create notes or add an e-book to a folder requires setting up an account. Output options include print (typically limited to 60 pages), email, and export to bibliographic management software like RefWorks. Also available are citing information for the major citation styles, bookmarking in social networking sites like Facebook, and perma-linking on websites and course management systems. This bibliographic database is an indispensable tool for research conducted in the areas of business and economics. Search functionality is enhanced through the incorporation of author keywords supplied in Spanish and English. Edgecliff College, formerly Our Lady of Cincinnati College, merged with Xavier University in 1980. The newspaper contains over 1,200 pages and chronicles the everyday life and general activities of students. The digital version is provided in searchable PDF (Adobe's Portable Document Format) files. It was scanned in 2010 from microfilm copies. Educational Films & Documentaries (XLinks; formerly the Digital Video Collection) is part of OhioLINK's Digital Resource Commons and contains 1,976 full-length educational films and documentaries covering a wide variety of subjects. The collection currently includes videos from two distributors: Ambrose Video and Films for the Humanities & Sciences. Eigenfactor.org ranks the most influential journals using citations in the academic literature as tallied by JCR (Journal Citation Reports). Users can search by journal name or subject category and limit their searches to a particular year from 1995-2006. There is a subject category mapping tool and top ten lists for major categores (science, social science, university theses). There is also a journal cost-effectiveness seach by subject category. Eighteenth Century Fiction (1700-1780; all full-text; XLinks) contains 96 works of English prose fiction, written by writers from the British Isles. It provides access to more than 33,000 articles; 17,000 media items; a world atlas with over 700 maps; an integrated dictionary with 120,000 entries; and a guide to selected websites. It features 2,000 original entries from a team of over 1,300 of the world's most respected scholars and philosophers. It contains 25,000 hot-linked cross-references between articles. Encyclopedia of Physics Demonstrations (XLinks) is part of OhioLINK's Digital Resource Commons. It contains 600 videos of physics experiments available for viewing and downloading. Each video illustrates a particular principle of physics. The demonstrations are augmented by slow-motion photography and animation. Videos are accompanied by a printer-friendly PDF page which may contain graphics, tables or figures not easily rendered on the Web. Videos are available in RealVideo format and may be streamed or downloaded. To view these videos, you will need to install RealPlayer on your computer. Encyclopedia of Religion (2nd edition; all full-text; RefWorks help; XLinks) is considered a standard reference in religion. This electronic book/database presents a cross-cultural approach that emphasizes religion's role within everyday life and as a unique experience from culture to culture. The original 2,750 entries have been retained, many heavily updated, and approximately 600 entirely new articles have been added by an international team of scholars and contributors. It can be searched by keyword or phrase or browsed by volume, table of contents, or back-of-the-book index. It also contains images and photographs, as well as a dictionary. English Prose Drama (1600-1900; all full-text; XLinks) is based on plays listed in the New Cambridge Bibliography of English Literature that were written or intended for the stage and wholly or primarily in prose. It contains over 1,800 plays by about 400 authors from the renaissance to the end of the nineteenth century. The full text of each drama is included with any accompanying text written by the author and forming an integral part of the work. A verse drama is generally defined as a work acted on or intended for the stage which is either completely in verse or includes significant verse content. Locating the ED Number in EBSCO's ERIC Database

ERIC Documents (much full-text; mostly 1993 to the present) contains abstracts, indexing, and the full-text for education-related materials that are NOT published in journals. These materials come from scholarly organizations, professional associations, university presses, research centers, policy organizations, the US Department of Education, and other government agencies. Individuals submit conference papers, research papers, dissertations, and theses to this database. All of these materials can be found in the ERIC database (both the EBSCO and OhioLINK interfaces), and they have an ED number rather than an EJ number. To locate the full-text of an ERIC document, type the ED number in the Search Term(s) textbox and change the Search in textbox to ERIC#.
